Provence: Water fights, Markets and Crepes

Carrying on with the French adventure

Pool fun and exploring town...
On Tuesday we spent the day around the pool and pretty soon a massive water fight broke out between the parents - women against men

While Robert, Hannah and I watched (all the splashing and screaming was hilarious)

Until the boat capsized with it being undecided who the victors were
Then we relaxed around the pool for the rest of the day

and I assumed my pool lounging position again
 Hannah and Robert

A relaxing pool day all round.

Wednesday was market day in the local town Aups (which no one could work out quite how to pronounce)
at the market we were able to see some proper traditional French people and culture, with people stylishly dressed and even a man busking playing the banjo with a cat on his shoulder.

Then we explored the town looking at all the things on the map said to be interesting to tourists such as old baths, sundials and trees over 400 years old.

Notice the little hearts on the shutters?
Hannah and I decided we would want some like that

Then we found a Creperie to go for lunch
Hannah had fun with the knife and the butterfly...
A few of us had the 'crepe Provencal' while I had one with bacon, cheese and mushrooms in
Then after lunch we continued the tour of the town

Then later on in the day had dinner of BBQ meat, salmon, couscous, breads, cheeses, salami (I could go on...)
